Blender Studio 0.2.0 - Nawwa.4X

WINDOWS QUICK START
1. You need Windows x64, installed Blender, and ChatGPT desktop with local
MCP servers. This is not a ChatGPT web/mobile extension. Account or
organization restrictions can prevent local MCP access.
2. Extract ALL files from the ZIP into one folder. Save your work and close
Blender. Open Blender Studio Setup.exe. Choose blender.exe if not detected.
3. Read the permission notice, check the box, and click Set up ChatGPT.
No separate Node.js installation or administrator account is required.
4. Click Open Blender. Press N over its 3D viewport, choose BlenderMCP, and
click Connect to MCP server if needed (port 9876, local computer only).
5. Fully quit and reopen ChatGPT desktop. Check Settings > MCP servers for
blender-studio-desktop. Enable it if required, and approve tool use when
prompted. Ask: "Inspect my Blender scene and show a preview."

This setup writes a local connection in ~/.codex/config.toml, shared with
Codex. It preserves other settings and backs up an existing file before
writing. It installs to your user's LocalAppData/Nawwa.4X/Blender Studio.
Once installed, the extracted download folder can be removed.

This development installer is unsigned. Windows or organization security
policies may block it. Do not disable security protections. If blocked,
ask your administrator or use the documented manual MCP configuration.

PERMISSIONS
The bridge executes Python with Blender's file and network permissions.
Only enable it for trusted local conversations. It is not a sandbox.
Scene information and previews sent to ChatGPT enter your conversation.
Recovery copies are saved before Python edits, but recovery is manual.
Default outputs: your user folder/Blender Studio.

TROUBLESHOOTING
- No local MCP settings in ChatGPT: this build cannot enable account access.
- Connection refused: open Blender and start the BlenderMCP connection.
- Existing add-on: setup preserves it. An incompatible version may require
you to update or remove that add-on yourself after saving your work.
- Settings conflict: setup refuses to replace an unmanaged connection named
  blender-studio-desktop. Rename that connection first.
- Setup error: read the setup window log; do not assume the connection works.

REMOVE
In ChatGPT's MCP settings remove blender-studio-desktop (or remove only the
BEGIN/END BLENDER STUDIO DESKTOP block in ~/.codex/config.toml). Restart
ChatGPT. Remove LocalAppData/Nawwa.4X/Blender Studio. Disable the Blender
add-on in Blender Preferences if you no longer use it. Keep your project
outputs and backups as needed; they are never deleted by setup.
